The ambitious series Laura, An Extraordinary Life (25x1h), distributed by Caracol Internacional, continues to seduce different territories. On this occasion, Russian channel RAZ TV, which has previously aired productions by Caracol Television like The Voice of Freedom, Helenita Vargas remiered this super production Monday, November 30th, five times a week, Monday through Friday at 10:00 p.m.
Russian spectators will be introduced to Laura Montoya, a particular woman with strong convictions who defied the rules of the society of her time in order to devote herself to help those less fortunate than her without wanting anything in return.
When she was 33 years old, she learned that a group of indigenous people didn’t know God, and from that moment on, she was obsessed with helping them and let them know that if humanity had forgotten about them, that superior being had not. Persecuted by a side of the church which found her disobedient, rude and problematic, in 1930 she decided to go search for the Pope in Rome to get recognition for her community. She died without being recognized but was later named a saint by the Vatican.
Shot in 4k with film optics and 100% in gorgeous exteriors, Laura, An Extraordinary Life has actress Julieth Restrepo in the leading role, playing the first stage of Laura Montoya, and actress Linda Lucia Callejas plays the more adult version of the character.
