The documentary reconstructs the story of the book using contemporary footage and a valuable family files. Between the personal and the historic memory, in “a battle against forgetfulness, against oblivion, Letter to a Shadow” presents a hair-raising snapshot of the political violence endured by Colombia and gives us an x-ray of the Colombian society from the intimate and critical insights of both the father Hector Abad Gómez, and his son, writer Hector Abad Faciolince.
