The White Slave was the most watched program in Colombia

The Mega Production “The White Slave, because blood is the same color” (60x1h Series), distributed by Caracol Internacional, became the most watched television program in the Colombian television on the day of its premiere, Tuesday, January 26th.

 

This series achieve an average of 11.1 points in rating, captivating an audience of more than 2.123.000 T.V. viewers, growing in audience by 27% on 12 to 17 year olds and an increase of 34% in audiences between 25 to 39 years old. This mega production allows Caracol Television to continue consolidating its leadership in the Colombian Prime Time.

 

"We are very pleased with the excellent performance of views for The White Slave, a series which thanks to its strength and impeccable plot production also received a great response during its launch at NATPE and has already been sold throughout the entire region. We are convinced that this Mega Production will continue its successful track record in all of the territories” said Lisette Osorio, VP of International Sales of Caracol Internacional.

 

This Mega Production talks about Victoria’s story, a women who everybody knows like the marquise that arrived to America to get married to a prosperous merchant of the region. However, the truth is different, because years ago she was rescued from death and raised in secret by slaves who became her family, but she was snatched from her loved ones to be sent to Spain, because according to society, a white woman could not live with slaves. As time goes by, she will decide to face anybody that gets in her way to rescue her loved ones, confront the murderer of her parents and reunite herself with the man she would give her life for.

 

The series is made with very high production values such as optical film with f55 cameras and impeccable art work which is carried out by the renowned Spanish actress Nerea Camacho, winner of the Goya Award. She will be accompanied by an amazing cast of actors like the Spaniard Miguel de Miguel, the Venezuelan actor Luciano D'Alessandro, the Cuban actor Orian Suarez, the Panamanian actress Miroslava del Carmen and Puerto Rican actor Modesto Lacen, whom stand out among others.
